When I look back at four decades of motor sport, this fascinating world has offered me unforgettable moments, allowed me to meet the most fantastic people and to make friends all over the globe.

But despite all thrills and excitement it generates, racing also brings with it some other aspects, quite unpleasant ones.
Racing is a dangerous sport. It is an inherently risky activity. Very regrettably, fatal accidents - the darkest aspect of motor sport - are one of these risks.
